The Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) will formally initiate the ballot process for four Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) Standards, including Technical guide for HVDC overhead transmission lineswhich have completed their drafting phase. In accordance with the Guidelines for Global Energy Interconnection Standardization Work (Trial), the ballot will be conducted among GEIDCO members worldwide.
The four standards entering the ballot process were jointly developed by experts from five countries and regions. They cover core areas such as the HVDC overhead transmission lines and distribution network planning. In order to fully safeguard member's full participation, the registration channel for the ballot pools for these four standards is formally open to all GEIDCO member organizations. The deadline for registration is 10:00 a.m. Beijing Time (UTC+8) on August 11 2025.
To facilitate access to detailed information, GEIDCO has simultaneously prepared summaries of the four draft standards, the ballot pool registration form and an overview of the GEI Standards. These documents are available for downloaded from the official GEIDCO WeChat account or the “Global Energy Interconnection” portal at https://www.geidcp.com/.
